Surat An-Nāzi`āt (Those who drag forth)

79:1
 وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا
WannaziAAati gharqa 
وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ-wannaziAaati-By those who extract
 -gharqa-violentlyغَرْقًا
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers 
and the wicked) with great violence;
(Tafsir)And from his narration on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that
 he said concerning the interpretation of Allah's saying (By those
 who drag forth): '(By those who drag forth) He says: Allah 
swears by the angels who take away the souls of the disbelievers 
(to destruction) the souls of the disbelievers,
**Doob ker sakhti say khenchnay walon ki qasam**
79:2
وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا
Wannashitati nashta 
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ- wannashitati- And those who draw out
 - nasta-gentlyنَشْطًا
By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers);
(Tafsir)(By the meteors rushing) and it is also said that He is here swearing by the angels who busy the disbelievers with grief and 
anxiety; it is also said that this refers to the souls of the believers 
which hasten to come out of their bodies in order to go to the Garden.
**Band khol ker chura denay walon ki qasam**

79:3

وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا
Wassabihati sabha 
 -wassabihati-And those who glideوَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ 
- sabha-swimmingسَبْحًا
And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.).
(Tafsir)(By the lone stars floating) and it is also said that He is 
here swearing by the angels who take away the souls of the
 righteous slowly and gently and then let them rest; it is also
 said this refers to the souls of the believers,
**Aur terney phirnay walon ki qasam**
79:4

فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا
Fassabiqati sabqa 
-fassabiqati-And those who race each otherفَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ 
سَبْقًا-sabqa-(in) a race
And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels
 or stars or the horses, etc.).
(Tafsir)(By the angels hastening) and He swears by the angels who hasten to Paradise with the souls of the believers and to the Fire with the souls of the disbelievers; it is also said this refers to the souls of the believers that hasten to Paradise,
**Phir daor ker age barhnay walon ki qasam**
79:5


فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا
Falmudabbirati amra 
-Falmudabbirati-And those who arrangeفَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٲتِ 
-Amra- (the) matterأَمْرًا
And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their 
Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account).
(Tafsir)(And those who govern the event) and He swears by the
 angels who govern the matters of the slaves, meaning Gabriel, 
Michael, Seraphiel and the angel of death. It is said that (those who govern the event) refers to the spears of soldiers, (the meteors rushing) refers to the ropes of soldiers and (the lone stars floating) refers to the ships of soldiers who fight at sea, (the ones who do the hastening)
 refers to the horses of soldiers, while (those who govern the event) 
refers to the generals of soldiers; it is also said that (the lone stars floating) refer to the sun, the moon, the day and the night. Allah
 swore by all these that the two blowings of the trumpet will take 
place, with an interval of 40 years separating the two blowings.
**Phir kam ki tadbeer kernay walon ki qasam**
 
79:6

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ
Yawma tarjufu arrajifa

-tarjufu-will quake تَرْجُفُ;(-yawma-The) Dayيَوْمَ
-arrajifa-the quaking oneٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the
 earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die),
(Tafsir)So Allah said: (On the day when the first trump 
resoundeth) this refers to the first blowing of the trumpet
 when  everything will quake.
** Jis din kanpney wali kanpe gi.**
79:7

تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ
TatbaAAuha arradifa
-tatbaAAuha-Follows itتَتْبَعُهَا 
-arradifa-the subsequentٱلرَّادِفَةُ
The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and 
everybody  will be raised up),
(Tafsir)(And the second followeth it) this is the final 
blowing  on the trumpet,
**Us ky bad ik peechy aney wali (peechy peechy) aye gi.**

79:8

قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ

Quloobun yawma-ithin wajifa
قُلُوبٌ - quloobun-Hearts
-yawmaithin-that Day;-wajifa-will palpitateوَاجِفَةٌيَوْمَئِذٍ

(Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety.

(Tafsir)(On that day) which is the Day of Judgement (hearts
 beat painfully) the hearts are fearful

**(buhat se) Dil us din dharakte honge.**

79:9

أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ

Absaruha khashiAAa
-absaruha-Their eyesأَبْصَـٰرُهَا
-khashiAAa-humbledخَـٰشِعَةٌ

Their eyes cast down.

(Tafsir)(While eyes are downcast) abased

**Jinki nigahen nichi hongien.**

79:10

يَقُولُونَ أَإِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ

Yaqooloona a-inna lamardoodoona feealhafira

-yaqooloona-They say;أَءِنَّا-a-inna-Will weيَقُولُونَ 
لَمَرْدُودُونَ-lamardoodoona-the former state 
فِىtoٱلْحَافِرَةِ-feealhafira-indeed be returned

They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life?

 (Tafsir)((Now) they) the disbelievers of Mecca: al-Nadr
 Ibn al-Harith and his host (are saying: Shall we really be 
restored to our first state) to the life of the world; and 
it is also said:  from the graves

**kehty hein ke kiya hum pehli ki si halat ki taraf 
phir laot aye jaein ge.**
 
79:11

أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً
A-itha kunna AAithamannakhira
-A-itha-What; -kunna-Whenكُنَّاأَءِذَا
-AAithama-we are bonesعِظَـٰمًا
-nnakhira-decayedنَّخِرَةً
"Even after we are crumbled bones?"
(Tafsir)(Even after we are crumbled bones?) Will Allah r
esurrect us? How is this possible?
** Kiya us waqt jab ke hum bosida hadiyaan hojaein ge.**
79:12

قَالُوا تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ
Qaloo tilka ithan karratun khasira

-qaloo-They say;تِلْكَ-tilka-Thisقَالُواْ 
إِذًا--itha-then كَرَّةٌ -karratun-(would be) a return 
-khasira-losingخَاسِرَةٌ
They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!"
(Tafsir)The Prophet (pbuh) said to them: “Indeed, Allah will 
raise  you again from the dead”. (They say: Then that would 
be a vain proceeding) that would be a failed attempt, because
 it will never happen.
** Kehty hein ke phir to ye laotna nuksandeh hai.**


79:13

فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ
Fa-innama hiya zajratun wahida
fa-innama-Then only;-hiya-itهِىَ-فَإِنَّمَا 
-zajratun-will be) a shoutزَجْرَةٌ
-wahida-singleوَٲحِدَةٌ
But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second
 blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19).
(Tafsir)And so Allah said: (Surely it will need but one shout) 
one blow which does not require a second one, and this is the 
blow of the resurrection,
**(maloom hona chaiey) wo to sirf ik (khufnak) dant hai.**

79:14

فَإِذَا هُم بِالسَّاهِرَةِ
Fa-itha hum bissahira

- fa-itha-And behold;-hum-Theyهُمفَإِذَا
-bissahira-will be) awakenedبِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
When, behold, they find themselves over the earth
 alive after their death,
(Tafsir)(And lo! they will be awakened) on the face of the 
earth; and it is also said: in the land of the gathering.
**Kay (jis kay zihar hote hi) wo ik dam medan mein
 jama hojaein ge.**
79:15

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ
Hal ataka hadeethu moosa
هَلْ -hal-Has ;-ataka-there) come to youأَتَـٰكَ
-hadeethu-(the) storyحَدِيثُ
مُوسَىٰٓ-musa-(of) Musa
Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)?
(Tafsir)(Hath there come unto thee) O Muhammad (the history
 of Moses) the story of Moses? Meaning: the story of Moses has 
already come to you; and it is also said this means: the story 
of Moses has not yet come to you.
** Kiya Musa (aleh-e-salam)ki khabar tumhein phunchi hai?**
 
79:16

إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى
Ith nadahu rabbuhu bilwadialmuqaddasi tuwa 
-ith-When;-nadahu-called himنَادَٮٰهُإِذْ 
-Rabbuhu-his Lord;-bilwadi-in the valleyبِٱلْوَادِرَبُّهُۥ 
-muqaddasi-the sacred;-tuwa-(of) Tuwaطُوًىٱلْمُقَدَّسِ 
When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
(Tafsir)(How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa) the 
name of the valley; it was called so because it was traversed by so 
many prophets; it is also said: tread (Ta'), O Moses, with your feet
 on this valley because of its goodness and grace.
**Jabkay unhein unkay rab nay pak medan tuaa mein pukara.**
79:17

اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ
Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu tagha
-ila-toإِلَىٰ;-ithhab-Goٱذْهَبْ
-firAAawna-Firaunفِرْعَوْنَ
-innahu-Indeed, he; طَغَىٰ-tagha-(has)transgressedإِنَّهُۥ 
Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all 
bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.).
(Tafsir)((Saying:) Go thou) O Moses (unto Pharaoh. Lo! he 
hath rebelled) he is arrogant and too proud and has refused 
to believe in Allah
**(kay) Tum firaon kay pass jao unsay sirkashi ikhtyar kerli hai.**

79:18

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Faqul hal laka ila an tazakka 
-faqul-And say;-hal-Wouldهَلفَقُلْ
-laka-for] you,لَّكَ
[ila-[until-إِلَىٰٓ
-tazakka-purify yourselfتَزَكَّىٰ;[-an-[thatأَن

And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin
 of  disbelief by becoming a believer)",
(Tafsir)(And say (unto him): Hast thou) O Pharaoh ((will) to 
grow (in grace)) will become righteous, surrender and believe
 in Allah's divine Oneness?
**Usay kaho kay kiya to apnai durstagi or islaah chata hai.**

 
79:19

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ

Waahdiyaka ila rabbika fatakhsha 
-waahdiyaka-And I will guide youوَأَهْدِيَكَ 
-ila-to;-rabbika-your Lordرَبِّكَإِلَىٰ 
 فَتَخْشَىٰ-fatakhsha-so you would fear`

And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him?

(Tafsir)(Then I will guide thee) I will call you (to thy Lord and 
thou shalt fear (Him)) and therefore surrender to Him.

**Aur yeh ky mein tujhhy terey Rab ki rah dikhata takay
 tu (us say) darnay lage.** 

79:20

فَأَرَاهُ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ
Faarahu al-ayata alkubra

-faarahu-Then he showed himفَأَرَٮٰهُ 
-al-ayata-the signٱلْأَيَةَ 
-alkubra-the greatٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles).
(Tafsir)(And he) Moses (showed him the tremendous token) 
the hand and the staff.
**Pus usay bari nishani dikhai.**
 
79:21

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

Fakaththaba waAAasa
-fakaththaba-But he deniedفَكَذَّبَ 
-waAAasa-and disobeyedوَعَصَىٰ 

But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed;

(Tafsir)(But be denied) and said: this is not from Allah 
(and disobeyed) he refused the message,

To us ney jhutlaya aur na fermani ki.

79:22

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

Thumma adbara yasAAa 
-thumma-Then;-adbara-he turned his backأَدْبَرَثُمَّ 
-yasAAa-strivingيَسْعَىٰ

Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah).

(Tafsir)(Then turned he away) from faith; and it is also said: 
from Moses (in haste) to his folk; and it is also said: to think what 
to do about Moses,

**Phir alag hat ker koshishain kerne laga.**

79:23

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

Fahashara fanada
-fahashara-And he gatheredفَحَشَرَ 
-fanada-and called outفَنَادَىٰ

Then he gathered his people and cried aloud,

(Tafsir)(Then gathered he) his army (and summoned) and 
delivered a sermon

**Phir sab ko jama ker ke ba awaz-e-buland pukaara ke.**


79:24

فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَىٰ

Faqala ana rabbukumu al-aAAla 
فَقَالَ-faqala-Then he said ;
-ana-I am;أَنَا۟
رَبُّكُمُ,-rabbukumu-your Lord
ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ-al-aAAla-the Most High

Saying: "I am your lord, most high",

(Tafsir)(And proclaimed: I (Pharaoh) am your Lord 
the Highest”.) I am your Highest Lord and the Lord of your idols, therefore, do not leave the worship of these idols.

**Tum sab ka Rab mein hi hon.**


79:25

فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَىٰ

Faakhathahu Allahu nakalaal-akhirati wal-oola 
-faakhathahu Allahu-So Allah seized himفَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ
نَكَالَ -nakalaal-(with) an exemplary punishment
-akhirati-and the firstٱلْأَخِرَةِ
-wal-oola-(for) the lastوَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ.

So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "
I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his 
saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I"
 (see Verse 28:38)] transgression.

(Tafsir)So Allah seized him) Allah punished him ((and made him) 
an example for the after (life) and for the former) the punishment 
that he suffered in the life of the world is drowning and the punishment of the 
Hereafter will be in the Fire; it is also said that this means: Allah has punished 
him because of his former and latter pronouncements. 
His first pronouncement being: “I do not know of any other god for
 you except Me” and the second being (I am your Lord the Highest) 
and it is said that there is an interval of 40 years between the first 
and second pronouncements.

** To (sab say buland o baala) Allah ney bhi usay aakhrat ke aur duneya ke
 azaab mein giriftar kerliya.**
 

79:26

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ

Inna fee thalika laAAibratan limanyakhsha

إِنَّ -inna-Indeed;فِى-fee-in

-thalika-that;-laAAibratan-surely (is) a lessonلَعِبْرَةًذَٲلِكَ 
-liman-for whoever;-yakhsha-fearsيَخْشَىٰٓلِّمَن 

Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah.

(Tafsir)(Lo! Herein) in that which We did to Pharaoh and his host 
(is indeed a lesson) an admonition (for him who feareth) that 
which has been done to them.

**Be-shak is mein is shaks kay liye ibrat hy jo daray.**

79:27

أَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ السَّمَاءُ ۚ بَنَاهَا

Aantum ashaddu khalqan ami assamaobanaha
aantum-Are you-ءَأَنتُمْ
-khalqan-creationخَلْقًا -ashaddu-a more difficultأَشَدُّ
-ami-or;-assamao-the heavenٱلسَّمَآءُ‌ۚأَمِ 
-banaha-He constructed itبَنَـٰهَا

Are you more difficult to create, or is the heaven that He constructed?

(Tafsir)(Are ye) O people of Mecca (the harder to create) harder 
to resurrect and more perfect in your creation, (or is the heaven
 that He built?

** Kiya tumhara peda kerna zadadushwar hy ya aasman ka?**

79:28

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا

RafaAAa samkaha fasawwaha
-RafaAAa-He raisedرَفَعَ 
سَمْكَهَا -samkaha-its ceiling
-fasawwaha-and proportioned itفَسَوَّٮٰهَا

He raised its height, and He has equally ordered it,

(Tafsir)He raised the height) its ceiling (thereof and ordered it)
 above the earth;

**Is ki bulandi unchi ki phir issay theek thak kerdia.**

79:29

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَاهَا

Waaghtasha laylaha waakhraja duhaha
-waaghtasha-And He darkenedوَأَغْطَشَ 
-laylaha-its night;-waakhraja-and brought outوَأَخْرَجَلَيْلَهَا 
-duhaha-its brightnessضُحَـٰهَا

Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings 
out (with light).

(Tafsir)(And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth 
the morn thereof) and He made its day and sun clear.

**Is ski raat ko tareek banaya aur iss kay din ko nikala.**

79:30

وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَاهَا

Wal-arda baAAda thalikadahaha 
-wal-arda-And the earth;-baAAda-afterبَعْدَوَٱلْأَرْضَ 
 -thalika-that; -dahaha-He spread itدَحَـٰهَآذَٲلِكَ 

And after that He spread the earth;

(Tafsir)(And after that He spread the earth) even then He spread
 it on the water; it is also said: 2,000 years after that He spread it 
on the water,

**Aur is kay baad zameen ko (humwaar) bicha diya.**
 

79:31

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَاءَهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا

Akhraja minha maahawamarAAaha
-akhraja-He brought forthأَخْرَجَ 
مِنْهَا-minha-from it;   
-maaha-its water;-wamarAAaha-and its pastureوَمَرْعَـٰهَامَآءَهَا

And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture;

(Tafsir)(And produced therefrom) from the earth (the water
 thereof) running water as well as the water buried deep in the
 belly of the earth (and the pasture thereof,

**Is mein say pani aur chara nikala.**

79:32

وَالْجِبَالَ أَرْسَاهَا

Waljibala arsaha
-waljibala-And the mountainsوَٱلْجِبَالَ 
arsaha-He made them firm-أَرْسَـٰهَا

And the mountains He has fixed firmly;

(Tafsir)And He made fast the hills) and He made the mountains firm,

**Aur paharon ko (mazboot) ghar diya.**


79:33

مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ

MataAAan lakum wali-anAAamikum
(-mataAAan-As) a provisionمَتَـٰعًا
-lakum-for youلَّكُمْ 
-wali-anAAamikum-and for your cattleوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ

(To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.

(Tafsir)(A provision for you) water of benefit to you (and for
 your cattle) water and pasture benefit your cattle.

**Yeh sab tumhary aur tumhary janwaron kay fiady kat liey (hein).**
 

79:34

فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَىٰ

Fa-itha jaati attammatualkubra
 فَإِذَا-fa-itha-But when; ;جَآءَتِ-jaati-comes
-attamatu-the Overwhelming Calamityٱلطَّآمَّةُ 
-alkubra-the greatٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day 
of Recompense, etc.),

(Tafsir)(But when the great disaster cometh) but when the Hour
 comes, it will tower above everything and nothing will escape it,

** Aur jab wo bari afat (qiyamat) ayegi.**

79:35

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ مَا سَعَىٰ

Yawma yatathakkaru al-insanu masaAAa
-Yawma-The) Day;-yatathakkaru-will rememberيَتَذَكَّرُيَوْمَ
-al-insanu-manٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ 
-ma-what;-saAAa-he strove (forسَعَىٰمَا 

The Day when man shall remember what he strove for,

(Tafsir)(The day when man will call to mind) when the disbeliever, al-Nadr Ibn al-Harith and his host, will remember and know (his (whole) endeavour) the works he did in his state of disbelief,

**Jis din kay insan apnay kiey huy kamon ko yad kare ga.**

79:36

وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ

Waburrizati aljaheemu liman yara 
-Waburrizati -And will be made manifestوَبُرِّزَتِ
-aljaheemu-the Hell-Fireٱلْجَحِيمُ
-liman-to (him) who;يَرَىٰ-yara-seesلِمَن

And Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) 
one who sees,

(Tafsir)(And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth) 
to him who is ordained to enter it,

**Aur (her) dekhney waly kay samaney jahanum zahir ki jay gi.**

79:37

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ

Faamma man tagha 
-Faamma-Then as forفَأَمَّا
(-man-him) whoمَن
-tagha-transgressedطَغَىٰ

Then, for him who Tagha (transgressed all bounds, in disbelief, oppression and evil deeds of disobedience to Allah).

(Tafsir)(Then, as for him who rebelled) him who was too arrogant 
and proud and disbelieved in Allah, i.e. al-Nadr Ibn al-Harith 
Ibn 'Alqamah

**To jis (shaks) nay sarkashi ki (hogi).**

79:38

وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

Waathara alhayata addunya 
-Waathara-And preferredوَءَاثَرَ
-alhayata-the lifeٱلْحَيَوٲةَ
(-alddunya-of) the worldٱلدُّنْيَا

And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil 
desires and lusts),

(Tafsir)(And chose the life of the world) rather than the Hereafter 
and also chose disbelief rather than faith,

**Aur duneyawi zindagi ko tarjeeh di (hogi).**

79:39

فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ

Fa-inna aljaheema hiya alma/wa
-Fainna-Then indeedفَإِنَّ
-aljaheema-the Hell-Fireٱلْجَحِيمَ
-hiya-itهِىَ
-almawa-is) the refugeٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

Verily, his abode will be Hell-fire;

(Tafsir)(Lo! Hell will be his home) the Fire is the home 
of him who is thus.

**(uska) Thikana jahanum hi hai.**

79:40

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ

Waama man khafa maqamarabbihi wanaha annafsa AAani alhawa

-man-him) whoمَنْ-waama-But as for;وَأَمَّا 
-khafa-feared;مَخَافَ-maqama-standingمَقَا
-rabbihi-before) his Lordرَبِّهِۦ
-wanaha-and restrainedوَنَهَى
-alnnafsa-his soulٱلنَّفْسَ
-Aaani-fromعَنِ
-alhawa-the vain desiresٱلْهَوَىٰ

But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and
 restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts.

(Tafsir)(But as for him who feared) upon committing a sin 
(to stand before his Lord) his standing before his Lord and 
abstains from engaging in sin (and restrained his soul from lust)
 from that which is unlawful, even though he desires it, this refers
 to Mus'ab Ibn 'Umayr.

**Han jo shaks apnay rab kay samaney khara honay say darta 
raha hogaaur apnay nafas ko khuwahish say roka hoga.**
 

79:41

فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ

Fa-inna aljannata hiya alma/wa

-Fainna-Then indeedفَإِنَّ
-aljannata-Paradiseٱلْجَنَّةَ
 hiya-it is-هِىَ
-almawa-the refugeٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

Verily, Paradise will be his abode.

(Tafsir)(Lo! the Garden will be his home) Paradise will be the
 home of him who is thus.

**To uska thikana jannat hi hai.**

79:42

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا

Yas-aloonaka AAani assaAAatiayyana mursaha
-Yasaloonaka-They ask youيَسْــَٔلُونَكَ
-Aaani-aboutعَنِ
-alssaAAati-the Hourٱلسَّاعَةِ
-ayyana-whenأَيَّانَ
(-mursaha-is) its arrivalمُرْسَـٰهَا

They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about 
the Hour, - when will be its appointed time?

(Tafsir)(They ask thee) the disbelievers of Mecca ask you, O Muhammad, (of the Hour) about the advent of the Hour: (when 
will it come to port?) When is it going to happen? Because they disbelieved in it.

**Log aap say qiyamat kay waqay honay ka waqat 
daryafat kerty hein.**

79:43

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَاهَا

Feema anta min thikraha

-feema-In whatفِيمَ
-anta-are) youأَنتَ
-min-ofمِن
(-thikraha-to) mention itذِكْرَٮٰهَآ

You have no knowledge to say anything about it,

(Tafsir)(Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof?) What has 
it to do with you that you should mention it to them?

**Aap ko is kay biyan kernay say kiaya talluq?**

79:44

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَاهَا

Ila rabbika muntahaha

-ila-Toإِلَىٰ
-rabbika-your Lordرَبِّكَ
(-muntahaha-is) its finalityمُنتَهَـٰهَآ

To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof?

(Tafsir)(Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof) 
the knowledge of its timing belongs to Allah.

**Iskay ilm ki inteha to Allah ki janib hai.**
 

79:45

إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَاهَا

Innama anta munthiru manyakhshaha
-innama-Onlyإِنَّمَآ
-anta-youأَنتَ
-munthiru-are) a warnerمُنذِرُ
-man-for him) whoمَن
-yakhshaha-fears itيَخْشَـٰهَا

You (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) are only 
a warner for those who fear it,

(Tafsir)(Thou art but a warner) you are but a warning 
messenger by means of the Qur'an (unto him who feareth it) 
to him who fears its advent.

**Aap to sirf is say darte rahney walon ko agha kernay walay hein.**

79:46

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا

Kaannahum yawma yarawnaha lamyalbathoo illa 
AAashiyyatan aw duhaha

kaanahum-As though they-كَأَنَّهُمْ
-yawma-the) Dayيَوْمَ
-yarwnaha-they see itيَرَوْنَهَا
-lam-notلَمْ
-yalbathoo-they had remainedيَلْبَثُوٓاْ
-illa-exceptإِلَّا
-Aaashiyyatan-an eveningعَشِيَّةً
-aw-orأَوْ
-dhuhaha-a morning thereofضُحَـٰهَا

The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried
 (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning.

(Tafsir)(On the day when they behold it) i.e. the Hour, (it will be
 as if they had but tarried) in the graves (for an evening) the duration of an evening (or the morn thereof) or the duration of one morning'.

**Jis roz ye usay dekh lein gay to aisa malom hoga kay sirf din
 ka akhiri hisa ya awal hisa hi (duniya mein) rahy hein.**
